Try this healthy peach push-up recipe

Ripe juicy peaches with green leaves on pink background. Flat lay, top view, copy space. Minimal creative composition with peaches. Fresh organic fruit, vegan food. Harvest concept

Peaches are at their peak of ripeness through the end of August. While most people immediately think of cobbler at the mention of peaches, there are dozens of ways to enjoy them – both in and out of peach season.

WellTuned asked Nashville-based The Peach Truck for a peach recipe that everyone can enjoy. They suggested a Greek yogurt peach push-up because it was a healthy, cool treat for the hot days of summer.

Greek yogurt peach push-ups

Ingredients

3-4 peaches, washed and pitted
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
3 T agave nectar

Instructions

This recipe uses agave nectar to sweeten, but you can use honey or even sugar – just know that the mixture will taste sweeter before it is frozen. The Greek yogurt gives the popup a creamy finish. You’re welcome to peel your peaches, but leaving the skins on will give the treat a little extra color. Plus, the skin is full of healthy vitamins and nutrients.

Combine the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into push-up pop molds. If you don’t have molds for push-up pops, you can freeze this mixture in regular freezer pop molds or in ice cube trays with toothpicks for smaller treats. Freeze overnight. Enjoy the next day.

The Peach Truck has been selling fresh peaches in Tennessee since 2012. They now distribute through more than 60 locations across the state.

You can also find peaches produced by a variety of growers at farmer’s markets in Tennessee.
