West Tennessee Strawberry Festival
The 79th annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival in Humboldt is packed with events that run through the entire first week of May. Events kick off on Sunday, May 1 with a breakfast and end on Saturday, May 7 with a 5K run, barbecue cook-off and car show. Other highlights include Monday night fireworks, a Tuesday night recipe contest, a golf tournament, pageants and a horse show.

Nashville Area
Strawberry Jubilee at the Nashville Farmers’ Market
Strawberry season kicks off at the Nashville Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 7.
Come to this year’s Strawberry Jubilee and take part in the strawberry shortcake recipe contest. Bring your best shortcake or just sample the competition.
You can also enjoy live music and entertainment while checking out the local vendors showcasing their best strawberry-themed items. Expect to choose from lemonade, pies, cobblers, wine and more.

Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival
One of the largest and longest-running strawberry festivals in Tennessee is just a 45-minute drive north of Nashville in the city of Portland. Now in its 75th year, the Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival is will be Saturday, May 14.
This year’s festival highlights include a strawberry-eating contest, bingo events, a parade, a fireworks display, a free concert and more than 100 vendors.

Morristown Strawberry Festival
The people of Morristown celebrate strawberry season with a full week of events. Pets even join in on the fun on Saturday, May 14, with the city’s first annual canine carnival. Bring your dog and compete for prizes in categories like “best costume” and “canine congeniality.” If you’re looking for a little more competition, try the cornhole and disc golf tournaments.
Located next to a local strawberry farm, the strawberry festival on Saturday, May 21, features vendors selling arts and crafts, live bluegrass, food, kids’ activities and a fun run. This free event is located at 510 West Economy Road in Morristown.

Dayton Strawberry Festival
Head to Dayton for the city’s annual strawberry festival on Saturday, May 7. This year’s highlights include live music, food vendors, an art show, parade, craft vendors, baking contests and derby car races.
If you’re looking for an all-day excursion, both the family fun area and the crafts and food vendors at Rhea County Courthouse are open until dark.

Strawberry Festival at the Chattanooga Market

Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival
Located just outside Johnson City, the 14th annual Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival will be held at the Unicoi Elementary School field on Saturday, May 21.
This event, which typically attracts more than 2,000 visitors for its one day of activities, features strawberry recipe contest, arts-and-crafts vendors and live musical entertainment.
